lizza gutierrez is a dreamer. She is the principal graphic designer and illustrator of lizza's room, a design studio she established in the Philippines in 2002. lizza takes a perceptive approach to design, and embraces a passionate lifestyle of constant learning.

lizza has an M.S. degree in Communications & Packaging Design from Pratt Institute in New York. She has taken further studies under the guidance of Milton Glaser at the School of Visual Arts in New York. lizza has also attended a masterclass for design educators under Lucille Tenazas.
lizza started teaching at the Meridian International College in 2012. Two years later, she was appointed to be the Program Head of the Multimedia Arts Department where she continues to teach.
lizza’s work has garnered the Editorial Merit recognition from HOW’s International Design Competition. In 2005, she was selected as one of the top three finalists of The British Council’s International Young Design Entrepreneur of the Year.
